Josh was born and raised in Lethbridge and area and currently lives in the city with his family. Josh holds a BFA from the University of Lethbridge (2012) and is a certified permaculture designer (Verge, 2014). He also sits on the board of directors of the Lethbridge Sustainable Living Association and is a part of the planning committee for the Kinsmen Open Community Garden.
Josh has always been interested in sustainability and urban agriculture, but it took the PDC in Calgary for him to finally have the skills to realize his dreams. Passionate about protecting the environment for future generations, Josh specializes in green waste management and composting. Josh is proud to be operating the first and only urban farm in Lethbridge.
Kayla is happy to start urban farming in Lethbridge and is looking forward to growing food for the community to share. She possesses a diploma in Environmental Assessment and Restoration from Lethbridge College (2014) and is excited to put her knowledge of soil, plants and biology to a creative use. Wanting to stay at home with her daughter while providing food and generating income simultaneously is accomplished by urban farming and Kayla is grateful to have the opportunity to do so.
