Permaculture Workshops

Composting: Make it Hot and Break it Down

About the Workshop:

In this three part workshop learn how to build a multi-bin composting system using recycled pallets at virtually no cost to you. Then learn how to get your compost’s carbon to nitrogen ratio just right to get a hot compost pile. In the second workshop, learn how to monitor your compost pile’s temperature, how to turn the pile and how to adjust the temperature if needed. We will also demonstrate the difference between well-managed and poorly-managed compost. In the third workshop, learn how to winterize your compost pile or to tell if you now have a pile of healthy rich soil.
